Sablefish or blackcod simply delicious 😋

All small pieces, and all from the tail end with very little meat. My first time buying sablefish from Weee and I got two packages. Both contain only tails with little meat. Disappointing

I made saikyo yaki with this sablefish using a marinade of miso, sake, and sugar, and it turned out delicious. The fish is rich and buttery with plenty of natural fat, making it incredibly tender and flavorful. It's one of those fish that goes perfectly with a bowl of hot rice. As a bonus, my dogs love this fish too. I set aside a plain portion before marinating, and they get very excited whenever it's on the menu. A great freezer item for both two-legged and four-legged family members.

Kind of disappointed in the range of sizes- I’d have liked if they were more uniform. But, great to keep on hand for when I want to make a little fish with my veggies.

Flavorful black cod.

Pieces were a little small - but not bad for single portions.

Was excited to see black cod offered, but disappointed that I received 6 small, thin tail pieces. Looks nothing like the thicker midsection cuts from other reviews. They're marinating now in misoyaki and will hopefully still taste good.

I don't expect I'll get all the tail end of the fish! Thin slices too! I read other customers' reviews and most said they have at least some pieces of mid sections that were meaty but the one I have are not up to expectations! Come on Wee you can do better!

Many times bought, good quality

Very disappointing, I got two bags and they only give you small tail pieces. When brought up to customer service they don’t address this inaccurate product description.

The fish was tender and not very fishy! Nice for tacos.

Unfortunately all the pieces were very thin tail bits. Even after marinating it tasted somewhat fishy - no one wanted to eat it. Would not recommend or buy again
